TBC’s Office of Student Development seeks a consummate student affairs professional to provide leadership and direction to all aspects of the Office’s initiatives and services. You will be expected to work closely with colleagues to assist in the planning and implementation of a departmental strategy. Responsibilities include human capital management, fiscal oversight, co-curricular engagement, immersion, volunteer and service learning efforts, housing, management and maintenance of physical space and technology, emergency preparedness and response, behavior management, visa procedures, student arrivals and departures, development of the Chinese Roommate and Host Family programs, TBC alumni network development for alumni in China, administration of the UIBE/TBC scholarship program, orientation and reentry efforts, and coordinating student development functions of the two annual academic excursions. The Associate/Assistant Director of Student Development serves as the primary liaison for TBC’s Division of Student Development in interactions with TBC’s school of record, Loyola University Chicago (LUC), and its Chinese host institution, the International School of the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE).

The Director of Academics, Faculty and Research reports to the Executive Director of TBC and leads all of TBC’s semester and summer academic programming. TBC seeks a dynamic scholar and teacher who fosters a collaborative pursuit of intercultural understanding. Further, TBC seeks an individual who can work creatively to innovate new academic programming models and who can work collaboratively and cross-departmentally on co-curricular programming, as well as foster a spirit of research excellence, engagement and exchange in Beijing and further afield. Additionally, as TBC expands its professional experience program in 2017 and beyond, the Director will be responsible for this flagship program, including its sustainable growth, quality and academic rigor.
