PRE-ARRIVAL TIMELINE
Admitted Students Information
This is a partial checklist of things to do before you leave for Beijing. Please
pay close attention to the dates below. All document submissions can be
completed in The Beijing Center online Student Login
SPRING SEMESTER/WINTER QUARTER
REMEMBER TO COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ON YOUR OWN OR WITH YOUR HOME UNIVERSITY
- Renew/Apply for Passport-Your passport must be valid for an additional six (6) months after your departure from China at the conclusion of your program.
- Complete home university study abroad application
- Get courses approved with home university
- Confirm financial aid with home university
- Enroll in any home university placeholder study abroad classes, if applicable
- Complete Consortium Agreement, if applicable

*You must wait to apply for your visa until you have received three (3) UIBE visa documents from TBC staff. These will be hard copy documents mailed to you.

PROGRAM WITHDRAWL FEES CALENDAR
FALL PROGRAMS
- On or After June 1st ($500)
- On or After July 15th ($1,500)
- On or After August 1st ($2,000)
SPRING AND WINTER QUARTER PROGRAMS
- On or After November 15th ($500)
- On or After December 1st ($1,500)
- On or After January 1st ($2,000)
ALL PROGRAMS: POST-START WITHDRAWAL:
After Program Start Date: If a student withdraws after the first day of orientation in Beijing, TBC retains the full program fee (tuition and housing). An exception may be made for medical reasons on a case-by-case basis. To express an intent to withdraw after the program has begun, students should speak with our Academic Director at TBC in China. There is no credit or refund for a student who is suspended or dismissed from the program for any reason.
