Our logo is the most visible sign of who we are, on our programs, our publications, and our partners' materials. This page explains what it means and how to use it well. The standard files are free to download below.
The mark is built from four pieces that meet at a single point. Each part carries a piece of our story.
The logo comes in two layouts, horizontal and centered. Both carry our English and Chinese names and may be used interchangeably: choose the one that fits the space. The names are part of the artwork, so always use the files rather than retyping them.

Keep clear space on every side at least as wide as one of the four pieces of the mark (X). No text, images, or edges inside that space.
The Chinese name is the smallest part of the logo, so it sets the limit. Use the horizontal logo at least 1.5 inches (150 pixels) wide, and the centered logo at least 1 inch (100 pixels) wide.
The mark is always TBC Red. It is never orange, and its color never changes. When red is not possible, use the one-color black or white version instead.
Small changes add up and make the logo harder to recognize. Please do not:

Change the colorThe mark is always TBC Red, never orange or any other color.

Stretch or squeeze itAlways resize from a corner so the proportions stay the same.

Use white text on a light backgroundThe name disappears. Use the full color version instead.

Place it on a busy photoChoose a calm area of the image, or use the white version.

Rotate it or add effectsNo tilting, shadows, outlines, or glows.
The Beijing CenterRetype or rearrange the namesUse the files as supplied, with English and Chinese together.
Programs and offices use the TBC logo itself rather than creating logos of their own.
in partnership withThe TBC family. ChinaContact®, TBC's flagship short-term program, has its own logo. Please use each logo for its own program and do not combine them.
These files are free for partners, press, and the TBC community to use in line with this page. Use PNG for screens and documents; use EPS (vector, in a ZIP) for professional printing.
