ChinaContact Program Coordinator (Full-Time)

Responsibilities of ChinaContact Program Coordinator include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Prepare program schedule, budget, and quotation
  • Arrange all necessary logistic arrangements for all scheduled visits and activities
  • Execute program design, including airport pick-up/drop-off, hotel arrangement, neighborhood tour, welcome packet preparation, orientation, and TBC tour
  • Support daily activity responsibilities for the duration of the program, go follow the program on the ground when needed
  • Submit financial requests and prepare the operational cost statements of each program
  • Prepare Monthly Expense Report
  • Reconcile cash advance against operational expenses every month, in accordance with the Treasurer’s policy
  • Supervise interns’ performance to ensure program completion according to TBC standards
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to prepare or manage promotional materials
  • Lead the design process of new programs or products
  • Deal with any emergency happens before, during/after the program

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above
  • English/Tourism majors preferred
  • Professional experience in tourism/educational tourism preferred
  • Fluent in both Chinese and English, knowledge of Spanish is a plus
  • A strong client service orientation, with good written and verbal communication skills
  • A responsible, professional and highly motivated team player, proactive in meeting client needs
  • Available for business travel with groups
  • Thorough with a strong attention to detail
  • Emergency handling skills
  • Microsoft office 365 (including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, PDF)
  • Graphics processing ability (i.e., Photoshop, CorelDRAW…) and video production experience desirable

Student Services Associate (Full-Time)

TBC is committed to providing care and support to students throughout their entire study experience with us, serving as their ‘family’ away from home.  As educators in Jesuit higher education, we facilitate programs, services, and experiences that help to form and inspire our students to be global citizens and leaders in our increasingly globalized world. We are proud of the work that we do and the relationships that we form with our students, and we have no doubt that this is what sets us apart from other international higher education programs. This role is in the Student Life department of an international education program, and is a key position for student engagement and education.
 
Desired Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher; preferably in Education or related field
  • Fluent in English, both written and oral. Chinese language (Mandarin) skills encouraged but not required.
  • Demonstrated sensitivity to student needs and cultural differences
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge and commitment to issues of equity, diversity, and inclusion
  • Demonstrated experience in being responsible, organized, and careful in managing information
  • Maturity in relating to students, capable of making prudent judgment calls
  • Team player attitude and willingness to participate in the collaborative process
  • Engagement and interest in the TBC mission as a Jesuit educational institution in China

Role Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate China visa applications and Resident Permits for Chinese study visa for international students
  • Plan and organize co-curricular activities for students, including but not limited to week-long orientation, weekend trips, monthly community meetings
  • Offer personal support to students and respond to their inquiries
  • Lead student housing arrangements, including housing inspection and maintenance, semester check-in and check-out, and all relevant housing issues
  • Learn and utilize technologies including Salesforce, Formstack, Hubspot and the Outlook Office online filing system (no prior experience is required, and training provided)
  • Oversee Student Service email account and respond to questions and inquiries in a timely manner

Media and Communications Intern (Part-Time)

TBC is committed to providing care and support to students throughout their entire study experience with us, serving as their ‘family’ away from home.  This position will support domestic and international external communications. Applicants should be comfortable working independently as well as part of a team, be proactive, and have great attention to detail. 

The Media and Communications Intern(s) will assist with daily activities of the Marketing and Communications office, including but not limited to:

  • making and editing social media content
  • researching and analyzing audiences
  • maintaining databases
  • supporting the website redesign

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bilingual (High level of English and Chinese skill)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with international education
  • Knowledge of domestic and international social media
  • Experience with WordPress or other PHP/MySQL websites
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Photography and videography experience preferred but not required
