Ji Gu is the Dean of Zhen Academy, an institution founded in 2017 focusing on helping entrepreneurs improving self-awareness and avoid repetitive mistakes in decision making. Since its establishment, Zhen Academy has helped more than 200 alumni to strengthen their self-awareness. Previous students include entrepreneurs who have raised millions, CEOs of public companies, listed company executives, as well as alumni from Peking University, Tsinghua University, Stanford, Harvard MBA and CEIBS EMBA. Graduates of Zhen Academy has financed over $100 million, and their respective businesses are valued at over a billion in USD. She is also the founding program director for “Essential Interpersonal Dynamic Program” at the Stanford Center at Peking University.

In addition, she is a lecturer for Haier University, China Merchant Bank’s University and the Phoenix College where her classes on entrepreneurship and self-awareness were demanded repeatedly for each new batch of students.

She was the Co-founder & COO of Zhulilaiye (助理来也), an AI company focusing on providing personal assistant service to Chinese consumers powered by AI and human agents with over 4 MM users under her management. Laiye received 23 millions series-B+funding in 2019.

Prior to that, she was the Studio Head and Business Director at FunPlus, where she managed teams of over 80 people across US, Canada and China to produce and operate a Top 50 Facebook simulation game and a Top IOS grossing RTS game, King of Avalon.

She has an MBA from Stanford and a B.S, summa cum laude, from Cornell. She was also a columnist for Forbes China and Linkedin China, and a regular contributor to The Financial Times China and The WSJ China, with over 2.5million followers on Douyin.
