Fatima Gao, Chinese ink artist, a signed painter of the Li Keran Fine Art Academy. Fatima integrates traditional methods with her own original taste to create elegant paintings and works of calligraphy and different paintings.

Course Description

An examination of the cultural background and major visual art forms of China from prehistoric to early modern times.

Courses Outcomes

Students will demonstrate knowledge of the philosophical and religious sources of the major traditional art forms of China.  They will recognize the degree to which Confucian morality controlled the social and intellectual principles by which society was governed and the arts evaluated to early modern times.
